With over twenty years of international development experience, he has worked at both country and headquarters levels on various sustainable development and policy issues, including post-conflict, disaster and crisis recovery, youth engagement and entrepreneurship, social innovation and climate action. Before joining UNV, Martin worked as UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Thailand (2015-2018), Policy Specialist in the UNDP Executive Office in New York (2011-2015), Special Assistant to the UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal (2008-2011), and prior to that, from 2000 to 2008, Martin held various positions with UNICEF in Bhutan, India and the Maldives.
