The CITS National Hackathon is an exhilarating, solution-focused programming and design marathon and serves as one of the flagship events during the Cameroon International Tech Summit.Over 72 hours, 350 dynamic individuals from all ten regions of Cameroon will unite to form 70 teams of 5, accompanied by 35 mentors, to innovate and develop solutions to address significant national challenges across ten thematic areas.Participants in this national hackathon will be comprised of winners from regional hackathons organized by the CITS team as part of the build-up to the main Summit event, CITS24.
Following this exciting competition, four standout teams will emerge as winners. They will collectively receive a prize exceeding 20,000 USD, distributed among the first, second, and third place winners, and a special Women in Tech prize. This special prize aims to inspire greater female involvement in driving the digital economy’s growth in Cameroon and Africa. All awards will be presented on the main stage during the closing ceremony of the Cameroon International Tech Summit. All 70 teams will be supported for 12 months in the city hack Germinator to build and launch their solutions to the market.
