Jocelyne Landry Tsonang is a Cameroonian environmental and natural resource management expert with more than twelve years of experience at the intersection of sustainable finance, carbon markets, circular economy, critical raw minerals, climate, biodiversity, nature-based solutions and gender. Her work is driven by a commitment to systemic transformation, connecting environmental innovation with the financial structuring needed to bring it to scale.

A forester by training, she holds a Master’s degree in Forestry Sciences from the University of Yaoundé I. She is Co-Founder and Operations Director of Nature Crest, a carbon project development company, and co-developer of AFRICO2, a digital transparency platform for African carbon markets. She is also a VCM+ Fellow, part of a cohort working to strengthen the integrity and reach of voluntary carbon markets.

Jocelyne serves as Non-Executive Director of the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), a pioneering network present in more than 42 countries that brings together practitioners and decision-makers driving Africa’s circular transition. From 2023 to 2024, she served on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Sustainable Use of Resources, contributing to international strategic thinking on responsible resource management. She has supported several African countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Ghana, Tunisia and Cameroon, in developing circular economy policies and strategic frameworks.

In recognition of her work on critical raw minerals, she was named to the Africa Oil Week 2026 Top 50 Power List of Pan African Female Leaders in Energy.

She is a Young African Leaders Fellow of the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute and a certified expert in the development and financing of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
