Kodou Jeng is the Founder and President of Women in STEM Gambia and the CEO of Wi-STEM Africa, a platform advancing gender equity in STEM across 16 African countries. With over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, she began her career as a technician at Gamcel. Kodou has received academic and professional training in France, Ghana, India, the United Kingdom, China, Morocco, and The Gambia.
She has earned several prestigious recognition, including the STEM Woman of the year 2024 Award, Most Outstanding in STEM Education by The Business Executives, and was named among Africa’s 100 Most Influential Women and UNESCO’s 80 Trailblazing Women in Tech and AI. Kodou also serves as a committee member of the African Union’s African Academy of Languages (ACALAN).

Through her leadership, she continues to inspire and empower girls across Africa to pursue careers in science, technology, and innovation.
